About Me
Noeli Acoba is a Los Angeles-based circus artist specializing in aerial rope and hula hoop.
She was a college student when she became captivated with circus. With her background in 11 years of competitive figure skating, she quickly realized her true love for creating and performing new feats in the air. She dropped out of physical therapy school to become a circus artist and never turned back.
Noeli was the Apprentice Mentorship Program Student (2017) and Company Member at Kinetic Theory Circus School in Los Angeles, California. She trained full-time in her specialty (aerial rope), as well as single-point and static trapeze, basic acrobatics, dance, and physical theatre. At Kinetic Theory, she was mentored by renowned circus performer & instructor, Eric Newton (Cirque du Soleil & Cirque Eloize). To further her training, she moved to Montreal and was coached in aerial rope by National Circus School teacher, Irena Purschke.
Noeli performed her rope act internationally in festivals and at premier venues such as la TOHU. She also collaborated in researching new, inventive apparatuses with companies such as Cirque du Soleil and Acrobatic Conundrum.
